About the Speaker:

Hu Yiqing, Vice President of the Institute for Advanced Research in Humanities and Social Sciences of Nanjing University, professor and doctoral supervisor of the School of Journalism and Communication, member of the Academic Sub-Committee of Liberal Arts of Nanjing University。Host of the revision group of "Ma Engineering" textbook "Evaluation and Analysis of Western Communication Theory"。He is also the executive director of the Chinese Journalism History Society, the chairman of the Professional Committee of the History of Journalism and Communication Thoughts, and the vice chairman of the Professional Committee of the History of Foreign journalism and Communication，Vice President and Secretary-General of Jiangsu Journalism and Communication Society，Member of Academic Committee, Center for Information and Communication Research, Fudan University，Researcher, Media Development Research Center, Wuhan University。

His research interests include news communication theory, news communication thought history, media theory and media sociology。He presided over three national projects, including the key project of the National Social Science Foundation, "The Dissemination, influence and Reflection Research of Western Communication in China";He is the author of several academic works, such as Introduction to the Famous Works of Western Journalism and Communication, The Foundation of American Communication Discipline: 1922-1949, and 30 Years of Chinese Communication Studies: 1978-2008.He has published nearly 200 papers in CSSCI source journals such as Journalism and Communication Research.He has won many outstanding humanities and social science achievements awards from the Ministry of Education, Jiangsu Province and Chinese Academy of Social Sciences。

In recent years, the rapid rise of media theory research has promoted the paradigm revolution of communication theory research. The proposed relationship between media and media objects and the stereotyped concept of media generation have brought media ontology onto the historical stage。The ontological thoughts of dualism, trialism and domain monism are intertwined。Media ontology has laid the foundation for promoting the development of media incidence Angle in communication studies。
